I order these all the time for students who are "interested" in photography of camera work. It's the best intro book possible and a great way for people to get to know the basics without being overwhelmed. Also a great way to weed out who really wants to learn or not.

Seriously amazing book! Finished in two days and I hate reading, so that says a lot about this book!Easy to understand and has diagrams and drawings!Seriously a must have!

I've read Tom's 2nd edition on typewritten paper back when I was in highschool! Fast forward to 2016 when I saw this third edition I immediately bought it as a memorabilia and at the same time read it from cover to cover. What a wonderful book! The content remains true to its mission and vision -- to teach and remind every good cameraman/producer the essence of usable and appropriate video content creation. Tom has the ability to teach anyone interested in videography / video production even by reading the book alone for a start -- For those who has no prior experience in good camera work and video content, this book is highly recommended!!!
