This book is split into qualitative and quantitative research with a substantial focus on qualitative. If you're looking for ways to build and analyze metrics, look elsewhere. If you're looking to generate and digest user feedback in actionable ways, this is your book. It's not too dry as to read like a textbook but it does have detailed implementation ideas.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a handbook on qualitative research.

I loved the idea of this book, but unfortunately as a UX Researcher by profession, Iâ€™m afraid that some of their explanations of research and the types of research are way off. Generative Research is NOT A/B testing...nor have I ever seen eye tracking as generative research. I think they need a few industry norm updates to the methods to make their book useful. Overall I liked the practical content for someone who is new to research and needs to think about recruiting, NDAs, and analysis.

Very helpful as a way to consolidate the how-tos and such for someone starting out. I found myself bookmarking a lot of the exercises to apply to my work projects, as well as resources to look at later.
